Kingwood Classic
Louisiana Select vs. Georgia Stars

Greg Monroe PF Louisiana Select Class of 2008

Monroe showed all facets of his game in this one. He attacks the basket from the high post and perimeter like an athletic two guard, not a power forward. This is helped by his great handle. On the boards he gets quick off the ground to capture his rebounds. He finishes around the hoop using his incredible athleticism. Monroe ran the floor consistently hard throughout the game. This game is a perfect example of the fact that when Monroe plays aggressive and assertive he is the best player in the nation.

Storm Warren C Louisiana Select Class of 2008

Warren fights hard under the glass for points and boards. He also has underrated athleticism, which is shown in his shot blocking game. He is just outside of the top 100 nationally.

Al Farouq-Aminu SF Georgia Stars Class of 2008 (Wake Forest)

Aminu showed off his small forward game against the Louisiana Select. He can take his man off the dribble with his solid, but not great handle. His shot stretches out beyond the three point line. The boards are where Aminu makes his money. The key for him to getting boards is being active around the rim and being quick off the floor. Aminu played like he was a top 5 player in his class.

Tony Woods C Georgia Stars Class of 2008 (Wake Forest)

Woods has a strong body and is really long. Like a lot of young big men he is still very raw offensively. Most of his points come off of offensive rebounds. Passing is one of the things he showed that he can do on the offensive end. There were several times that Woods had trouble finishing against contact around the basket. Defensively he is a though and gets rebounds. He is a solid shot blocker. Woods was a slight disappointment in this game, but remains a top 25 prospect in 2008.

Travis Leslie SG Georgia Stars Class of 2008

Leslie is a great transition player. He gets out, runs, and finishes with the best of them. His shot is not as consistent as it could be, but he has a smooth stroke from deep. He has the potential to grow into a solid college player. He could crack the top 75 overall in the Class of 2008.

Wesley Witherspoon SF Georgia Stars Class of 2008

Witherspoon did not play up to his potential. He showed he can get out and run in the transition game, but did not do much in the half court. His potential is what makes him a top 100 prospect.
